Spot Landing Competition

Twice a year Hidden River holds a Spot Landing competition. The idea is to see which pilot can land his airplane closest to a line painted across the runway. The wheels may not touch down in front of this line. A trophy is awarded to the winning pilot. Once a pilot has won 5 times he is ineligible to compete again - having proved his superiority. It is a fun time for everyone, even those non-pilots, as a party atmosphere abounds. Free airplane rides, coffee and donuts and lots of neighborly conversation finishes the morning with parties later in the day.
