HIDDEN RIVER SADDLE CLUB

Horseback Riding Guidelines

If you enjoy horseback riding, in order to be a "good neighbor", we ask that you observe the following:

1. Within the Hidden River Subdivision, the only permitted gaits are walk, trot and slow canter.

2. Please stay on established riding trail areas which are along the shoulders of the paved road, not up close to decorative fences or lawn areas. It is permissible to move over as necessary when either automobile or aircraft traffic approaches.

3. If your horse has shoes, please stay off private asphalt driveways. The shoes leave marks in the driveway, especially on hot summer days.

4. Absolutely no riding along the airstrip.

5. Remember, our roadways are also taxiways and your horse may become frightened upon encountering an airplane. You may find it prudent to dismount in order to control your horse under these circumstances.

6. Non-residents are forbidden to ride within Hidden River unless accompanied by a resident familiar with the above guidelines.
