CITIZENS SECURITY PATROL
Hidden River's Citizen Security Patrol is sponsored by the Sarasota Sheriff's Department and is made up of residents of Hidden River. Our patrol began in March of 1983 and is presently co-captained by residents Margareth De blij and Jim Hawkins. Volunteers are trained in procedures and use of the Sheriff's Department radio. Although the schedule calls for a two hour shift each month, many serve several times a month.
Security Patrol members patrol our community in pairs and watch for strange vehicles and suspicious activities as well as obstacles in the roadway/taxiway. All residents are encouraged to participate and are asked to contact Margareth De blij or Jim Hawkins for complete details on the particulars.
